saa re gaa ma paa ...

this was one of my first few favourite songs and i still like it, more than three decades later. i might or might not have heard this song before this incident. it is not that this incident made me like the song more, but my mind rockets back to it each time i hear it (the song).

kv asc bangalore had a picnic at shivasamudra near bangalore (how far don't ask me as i have never been there since). though too small to be in school, i got to go along with the picnic party (again, don't ask me how). on the way there, on the bus, a schoolgirl sang this song, and i loved it. she sang it really well too. at shivasamudra, she fainted - probably because of giddiness at the falls, or maybe because of some other reason, i don't know. anyway, as i said, whenever i hear this song, i remember that picnic and the girl who fainted (no face, just the incident). that was my first experience of someone fainting.
